  6. Thank you for evaluating this demonstration version of HydraCyl.
  7.  
  8. In the file ORDER.FRM will find an order form which will allow you to
  9. order the full registered version of HydraCyl.

  11. Information on Ordering the full registered version of HydraCyl is also
  12. available in the HydraCyl on-line help system under the topic
  13. "Registering/Ordering HydraCyl".

  15. To install this demonstration version of HydraCyl on your system, simply
  16. insert the HydraCyl demonstration diskette in your diskette drive,
  17. change to the drive in which the diskette is inserted, type SETUP at the
  18. DOS prompt and press the [Enter] key.
  19.  
  20. The setup program will provide you with further information and options
  21. relating to the installation and running of the HydraCyl demonstration
  22. version.
  23.  
  24. Please take the time to look through the HydraCyl on-line help system,
  25. as complete information on the use and operation of HydraCyl is
  26. contained there. The help topics "Introduction", "Using HydraCyl",
  27. "Keyboard & Mouse Use" and "Help", will be of particular benefit in
  28. getting you up and running.
  29.  
  30. Once you are inside HydraCyl, mouse users need only point and click to
  31. carry out the desired actions. If you are using the keyboard, press the
  32. [Tab] key to switch between command buttons and then press the [Enter]
  33. key to activate the selected button. From most places in HydraCyl,
  34. pressing the [Alt] key alone will activate the menu bar.
  35.  
  36. Remember that pressing the [F1] key from most places in HydraCyl will
  37. call up the on-line help system.
  38.  
  39. HydraCyl is a very flexible program that will allow you to enter the
  40. required inputs in any order you desire, but if you would like to have
  41. HydraCyl step you through a "fast" analysis the first (or any other
  42. time) you use it, follow these steps:
  43.  
  44. -    activate the "Analysis" menu and choose "Perform Analysis",
  45.      HydraCyl will report that some required information is missing and
  46.      then (after you activate the <OK> button to continue) will present
  47.      you with the relevant form for entering the missing inputs
  48.  
  49. -    repeat the above steps until all the required inputs have been
  50.      collected, at which point instead of prompting you for missing
  51.      information HydraCyl will perform its calculations (takes only a
  52.      fraction of a second) and present you with a message saying
  53.      "Calculations Complete"
  54.  
  55. -    after selecting <Ok>, you may now browse the pages of HydraCyl's
  56.      analysis results (results are in light blue, your inputs are in
  57.      dark blue) by using the <Page Up> and <Page Down> buttons on the
  58.      "Cylinder Data" form (or by pressing the Page Up and Page Down keys
  59.      on your keyboard)

  61. -    if desired, use the "Cylinder" menu to call up any of the different
  62.      input forms to change any inputs you wish, then run the analysis
  63.      again to check on the new results.
  64.  
  65. You may want to print out the EXAMPLE.TXT file and follow steps decribed
  66. inside. This example is designed to help you in your first steps
  67. through HydraCyl.
  68.

  70. HydraCyl" and its related linked topics. Also, the online reader for all text
  71. files is available to you. You can access to this reader from HELP menu
  72. (from withing HydraCyl) or at the DOS prompt by typing:

  76. HydraCyl requires an IBM compatible 286, 386 or 486 computer with
  77. 600kb of memory, VGA colour display. A mouse is optional.
  78.  
  79. HydraCyl will also run very well under Microsoft Windows(tm) if desired.
  80. If you wish to run HydraCyl under Windows, there is an icon and pif file
  81. in the HydraCyl program directory which may be used. The icon is called
  82. HC.ICO and the pif file is HC.PIF. See your Windows documentation for
  83. details on setting up new programs in Program Manager.
